Stoke boss Hughes: No problems with Jese; we all support him

Stoke City boss Mark Hughes insists there's no issues with Jese.

The on-loan PSG forward stormed off before the end of Saturday's win over Swansea after being an unused sub.

But the Potters are aware the Spaniard is dealing with the premature birth of his son Nyan in June and has made regular trips to Gran Canaria.

Hughes said: “It's ongoing. It's not something that's going to be resolved probably in his time here.

“It's something that his that his family has got to deal with long term with his child and I think there are certain steps that are in place that are the next step in terms of what they need to do.

“We are totally informed on that and when it's happening. He's just trying to focus on his football.

“He's looked good in fairness. I thought he came on in midweek and affected the game, which was important for him, so he's definitely showing intent that he wants to be back involved.

“We've got a lot of games coming up so that's my intention as well.

“He needs to play so he will play more of a part than he has in the last three or four weeks."
