The representative of Sulley Muntari, Sipho Shaven has confirmed he is moving closer to securing former AC Milan midfielder a deal in the PSL but Kaizer Chiefs not part of the plan.

Muntari has openly declared his interest to play in the South African league next season.

The 36-year-old declared that he is interested in playing for Kaizer Chiefs.

But according to Shaven, he has not spoken to Chiefs who are restricted by a transfer ban.

He revealed that a few other local teams have already expressed their interest in signing the former UEFA Champions League winner with Inter Milan.

"There were discussions about many PSL teams but Kaizer Chiefs has never been part of the plan to bring him here because of the transfer ban they are currently faced with," Shaven tells KickOff.com.

"We have been in contact with a few teams including one team in Gauteng and another one in KwaZulu-Natal that have shown huge interest.

"Unfortunately I can't reveal their names at the moment. We must understand the business of football and give respect to the clubs we are talking to."

Shaven also rules out the fear of Muntari demanding a big salary in South Africa following his illustrious career in Europe.

"It's not about money but his desire to play in the PSL," the agent insists.

"He has achieved a lot in his football career in Europe and obviously he is not only bringing his talent but also his experience."
