Ghanaian teenager Kevin Ofori is set to play a bigger role for Fortuna Dusseldorf next season, footballghana.com can report.

The 18-year-old steadily progressed from the youth team of his club during the 2019/2020 football season in Germany as he was eventually promoted to the senior team.

Though he did not get the chance to play regularly in the Bundesliga, he managed to impress with the little opportunities that came his way.

Ahead of pre-season which will pave way for the start of the next season, reports being picked up indicates that Kevin Ofori is in line for a bigger role at Fortuna Dusseldorf.

With the club suffering relegation at the end of the season, they will be playing in the German 2. Liga next season.

Attackers Kevin Stöger, Valon Berisha, and Erik Thommy have already left the club, meaning there are attacking slots available to be filled.

Our checks have confirmed that the technical handlers of the club were impressed with Kevin Ofori’s inputs last season and have decided to make him a key member of the first team next season.

In the just-ended season in Germany, the teenager made 5 appearances in all competitions for the senior team as he chipped in with 1 goal.
