In the face of mounting controversy, Ghana Football Association Executive Committee member Sammy Anim Addo reaffirmed today that the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League is set to kick off as planned.

This announcement comes amidst threats from Ashantigold FC to seek an injunction against the highly anticipated 2023/24 Ghana Premier League.

Ghana Football Association's General Secretary Lawyer Prosper Harrison Addo this morning has also stated that the league is coming on.

"If anything happens we will communicate it but there is nothing now what we planned is still ongoing nothing has changed," he told Peace FM as monitored by Footballghana.com

"I haven't seen any injunction that is why I said if there is anything the secretariat will communicate it," he added.

The league returns this weekend starting in Tamale. Real Tamale United (RTU) takes on Accra Hearts of Oak SC at the Aliu Mahama Stadium.

The game in Tamale will kick off at 6:00 pm.
