The next president of the GFA must have a good reputation - Amanda Clinton

Ghana Football Association (GFA) presidential candidate, Lawyer Amanda Akuokor Clinton has emphasized that the new leader of the football governing body must be someone who has a good reputation and inspires confidence.

The legal practitioner who is the co-founder of Clinton Consultancy is one of six candidates who have been cleared to contest for the top job at the FA.

Speaking at a debated organizer by the Normalization Committee and some media partners, Lawyer Amanda Clinton has stressed the need for delegates for the upcoming electoral congress to vote for someone who is known to the public and has a good reputation.

This she believes will inspire confidence in international and local stakeholders to help attract the needed investment from the corporate world.

“Ultimately the person that is selected must be known to the public, considered of good reputation, and can foster a sense of confidence to international and local stakeholders which is what I say I can bring.

“Because otherwise, the GFA’s bid to redeem is dead on arrival. If after almost 12 to 18 months in limbo a new face comes in does not inspire confidence to FIFA, to the Public and in general”, he observed.

Lawyer Amanda Clinton is expected to go head to head with George Afriyie, Lawyer George Ankomah Mensah, Nana Yaw Amponsah, Fred Pappoe, and Kurt Okraku during the GFA presidential election which has been scheduled for October 25.
