Tim Wiese's WWE career could be over before it hasreallybegun.

The former Germany international shocked the sporting world when it was announced he was training with various arms of the WWE, and Wiese recently made his debut as a professional wrestler, winning his first match earlier this month.

However, it appears Wiese could return to football after it was revealed lower league sideSSV Dillingen were interested in signing the former Werder Bremen keeper, with all the correct documents being filled out.

Speaking toDFV, Christoph Nowak,SSV Dillingen's chairman, revealed Wiese could return to football after his solitary WWE match.

"The application for permission to play has been granted, but Tim lives in Bremen and we are now playing in southern Germany. Since a couple of kilometres in between, the appointment must therefore fit," Nowak revealed.

"We are good friends since 2009, when we had business to do with each other for the first time. We both liked immediately and similar knit: Honest, straightforward and not every word to weigh dramatically.

When asked whether the move was simply a public relations exercise, Nowak replied: "This can be seen as you want. It is certain that he wants to play for us. He himself confirmed this. But it was not meant that he would be at our next game this coming weekend."
