Togo Captain Emmanuel Adebayor believes Egypt will pick up the only slot in Group E of the World Cup qualifiers from the African continent.

Egypt are in a group comprising Ghana, who have appeared in the last three World Cups, Uganda and Congo.

The Pharoahs lead the gropu with six points after beating less fancied Congo and the mighty Black Stars of Ghana putting them in pole position to qualify for the Mundial.

“Egypt is leading its group, they are closer this time than Ghana to qualify to the World Cup. The Pharaohs’ squad includes a number of exceptional players like Mohamed Salah and Mahmoud Trezeguet along with other special players. “When it comes to football we have mention Egypt and Cameroon.” He told ON Sport TV channel.

Egypt have not been at the world cup since 1990. The Pharaohs were silver medalist in the last edition of the Africa Cup of nations in Gabon.
