Tottenham Eyeing Up Young Argentine Defender Emanuel Mammana From Lyon

Tottenham Hotspur are eyeing up Argentine defender Emanuel Mammana from Lyon, with Spurs scouts having watchedthe 20-year-old in action.The playerreportedlyhas a£9m release clause and another two years left on his current contract.


According to theMirror, Mauricio Pochettino wants his fellow countryman to join the North-London side. Mammana joined the French club from River Plate this summer, but is already attracting interest from the global elites across the European football stage.

Mammana made his Argentina first team debut in 2014 at just 18-years of age, but hasn't made an appearance since the 2-0 win against Slovakia in June, 2014. He has re-joined the under-20's side, but will hope this season he will be back in thefirst-team and be a regular in the national side.


The Argentine defender has made three appearances so far this season in Ligue 1, keeping a clean sheet in a 2-0 win over Saint-Etienne and also completed 90 minutes against FC Lorient and Montpellier, conceding once in both of those games.
