Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino is on the Real Madrid wanted list to betheir next manager after legend Zinedine Zidane, according to theMirror.

The 44-year-old did a remarkable job at Southampton before joining Spurs and making them serious title contenders, and his hard work hasn't gone unnoticed with arguably one of the biggest clubs in the world, Real Madrid, now after the Argentine.

Real Madrid have reportedly put Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino on their managerial wanted list.

Madrid currently sit top of the table in La Liga, two points clear of rivals Barcelona and three points clear of Atletico Madrid and Europa League winners Sevilla, but Madrid president Florentino Perez wants global success and despite Zidane winning the Champions League last season, it looks like Perez wants to club to be managed in a different direction.

Madrid haven't won the league since 2014 with Barcelona winning it three times and Atletico winning it once, and because of their lack of recent league success Madrid are starting to look at new potential managers.

Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is aware of the interest by Madrid and is willing to fight Madrid to keep the Argentinian, anddespite committing to Spurs for another five years last summer it will be very tough to keep hold of the very ambitious Pochettino.

Manchester United great Sir Alex Ferguson picked Pochettino to be the next manager after the Louis van Gaal era at United, but he decided to commit to Spurs and they appointed Jose Mourinho instead.
