Tottenham tell Barcelona to forget signing Eriksen

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly told Barcelona to forget about signing midfielder Christian Eriksen.

Eriksen has been impressive for Spurs under the guidance of Mauricio Pochettino and also put on a good showing for the team during their Champions League victory over Real Madrid.

Barcelona, who failed to lure Philippe Coutinho during the summer, are said to have made Eriksen a midfield target of theirs and their technical secretary Robert Fernandez has reportedly watched the player on many occasions and been impressed by what he has seen.

Eriksen himself indicated in the past that a move may happen by telling Danish newspaper Ekstra Bladet: "Barca is a great club and I don't think there are many footballers who can say 'no' to Barcelona."

As Eriksen is a key part of the Spurs first team, they value him highly and reportedly demand more than the £200 million for his services which PSG paid to lure Neymar from Barcelona.
