Tottenham's executive director Donna-Maria Cullen has insisted that Tottenham's new stadium will have a better atmosphere than the Emirates.

Tottenham are currently constructing their new £400m stadium, that is expected to be ready for the beginning ofthe 2018/19 season.

And Cullen, via L'Equipe, admits Tottenham are taking every small detail seriously as they look to meet the needs of the fans.

"The atmosphere of an enclosure depends very much on its architecture. We work to optimise that in the new stadium, working especially with the team that manages the acoustics of U2 concerts. That is why, for example, the corners of the stadium will be closed, unlike the Emirates."

Although their new stadium will be almost double the capacity of current stadium White Hart Lane, Cullen remains adamant that the atmosphere won't be lost:"In addition, we insisted to the that architects that the stands be close, as at White Hart Lane -In our stadium, the pitch will be five metres closer to the fans than it is at the Emirates."

In a move that will both anger Arsenal fans and excite Spurs fans, Cullen will be hoping nothing goes wrong in the remaining building process.

It is yet to be confirmed where Tottenham will be playing their 2017/18 Premier League fixtures. This season sees both the last campaign at White Hart Lane andthe north Londonersplayingtheir European fixtures at Wembley.

The Lilywhites will be hoping, if Wembley is to be their new home, that results will be better than their trial campaign this year in the Champions League.
