Updates will appear live below!

14:06 - DONE DEAL

Hectic afternoon for Everton youngster Tyias Browning, who's signed a deal to keep him tied to Goodison Park until 2019 - and headed out on loan to Preston for the rest of the season.

No word yet as to whether David Moyes was trying to bring him to Sunderland, but...probably, right?

13:48 - Moyes Coy on Sunderland Business

Sunderland are in a bit of a state at the moment, with Victor Anichebe injured and Patrick van Aanholt at Crystal Palace, but David Moyes has been...well, less than entirely forthcoming. This could be an ugly few months at the Stadium of Light.

Moyes on PvA: "We'd like to get ourselves a left back. We made our position clear before January, but we're trying to add one or two."

Moyes on arrivals: "We'd like to add a striker because of Victor's injury. It's become a little bit of a priority."

Moyes on Ulloa: "I very rarely talk about players from other clubs until the time is right."

13:43 - Southampton Still Chasing Gabbiadini

Another one which could run and run - Sky reporting that Napoli's Manolo Gabbiadini has been in protracted talks with his own club today; presumably over his proposed £17m move to Southampton. More as it comes, as ever.

Southampton £17m target Manolo Gabbiadini in talks with Napoli president and his agent since 11.30 this morning

13:35 - Liverpool Injury Update

Bit of a salt/wound situation for Ovie Ejaria, sidelined for 'a while' with an ankle injury after playing 74 minutes of Liverpool's 2-1 defeat to Wolves on Saturday. Not the best of weekends for the 19-year-old.

13:13 - DONE DEAL

...Maybe. Aston Villa tweeted that Aaron Tshibola has moved to Nottingham Forest on loan for the rest of the season, before sharply deleting the post. Nothing on Forest's Twitter, either.

The statement is onVilla's websitethough, so we're going to go ahead and say this one's wrapped up.

13:09 - Ivanovic...Staying?

Looks like the saga of the window - such as it is - might be Branislav Ivanovic's protracted departure from Chelsea. From Antonio Conte's press conference this afternoon...

Conte says he hasn't spoken to Branislav Ivanovic since the weekend about his future. He says we have to wait. #CFC

12:55 - Aaaaand We're Back

West Ham. Stinginess disguised as kindness. Do it for free ya cheapskates, you're been given a stadium.

Morning, bring back your Payet shirt to any of the club shops & you will get a new replacement for £25, full details on WHU web site today. https://t.co/i9BPrS6YG1

12:33 - PAUSE

Yeah, liveblogs are like cricket matches now. I need a lunch break - be back with you after a quick jaunt down Leather Lane.

12:26 - DONE DEAL

Stoke have agreed a deal to let young forward Sergio Molina head back to Spain, joining Segunda B division sideAlbacete Balompié on a permanent deal. A far cry from the big hopes the Potters had for the youngster, who captained Real Madrid at every youth level from Under-10s to Under-19s.

12:03 - Fancy a Flutter?

Long-shot title contenders are all the rage after Leicester won the Premier League last season, and if you really want to cash in this season...well.

If anyone fancies a flutter, with @bet365 it's over 36000/1 for Roma, Nice, Leipzig and Sevilla to all win their leagues this year... pic.twitter.com/K54WLweFYq

11:55 - More on Popa

Reading have brought the 28-year-old to the Championship fromSteaua Buchareston a three-and-a-half year deal, with manager Jaap Stam saying:With the amount of games we have coming up, a player of his quality will make it easier for us to rotate a little more and give some players a rest if we need to, so I'm delighted to have him here as part of our squad.

11:47 - Does the FA Cup Still Matter?

Lots of chat over the weekend about the FA Cup and its relative worth in the modern game, especially with Liverpool's team of 12-year-olds being eased out of the competition by Wolves. Is it more or less just a relic now?

Just going to leave this here...

@thatchris1209 Mourinho is so arrogant he sometimes thinks he's God..BaSTAYan..

11:23 - Burnley Close in on Robertson Signing

Hull City look set to lose another of their decent players for about £10m, and Marco Silva is (probably) sobbing in a corner of the KCOM Stadium somewhere. Looking at the numbers, expect the tea lady to start on the left for them at Old Trafford on Wednesday.

Burnley closing in on Hull full-back Andy Robertson, a £10m offer to be accepted

11:20 - Deadline Day Predictions

While we've got a bit of a lull...let's have a look ahead to tomorrow's Big Massive Huge Deadline Day shall we? I'll get us started - Craig Gordon will be the only player signed by a top six club.

11:05 - Imagine a World Without Jim White

No point to make here, just a little Monday morning thought exercise. Better? Worse? More or less the same?

Jim White gets imaginary texts on deadline day, disclosing completed deals. He really believes he's getting them. Quite sad to watch.

10:57 - Palace Confirm Interest in Ex-Barca and Juve Man

Remember Martin Caceres? Sam Allardyce seems to; he's told journalists at his press conference this morning that Palace are keeping a close eye on the Uruguayan, who could come in after the end of the window. Free agent, see.

SA: Caceres is one who may appear after the window as he's not attached to a club. Yes, I have an interest.

10:48 - Join the Conversation!

@ThatChris1209 why do you feel that the last dig at Payet by @WHUFC was unjustified ? Hardly going to send the idiot flowers ! #byebye

You kind of get the impression that Dimitri Payet isn't going to get the warmest of welcomes if Marseille end up facing off against West Ham soon, don't you?

Just feels a bit churlish to bitch and moan when you've doubled your money on a player about to hit 30, who single-handedly dragged you towards relevance last season. Did he go about getting the move home the right way? Probably not, but lord. Vomit and move on. Get over it.

10:43 - Allardyce on Van Aanholt

Big Sam's been speaking about Crystal Palace's new signing in his pre-match press conference this morning. "Hopefully his impact is instant. He was instrumental in Sunderland's fight for survival last year, not just as a full-back but for goals. We want him to defend well because we're conceding too many goals. He'll help at both ends."

He's not wrong, either - only Jermain Defoe has scored more league goals for Sunderland than Van Aanholt since the start of last season. Indicative of how well he's been playing in a struggling team, and just how woefully reliant on Defoe that side's been.

7 - Only Jermain Defoe (27) has scored more PL goals for Sunderland than Patrick van Aanholt since the start of last season. Exit.

10:31 - Silence

Okay, it looks like it's gone a bit quiet. Has it gone a bit quiet? Can I break for a cup of tea?

I'm doing it. Catch you in five.

10:19 - DONE DEAL

This is MUCH more like it! Crystal Palace have (finally!) confirmed the signing of Patrick van Aanholt from Sunderland in a deal thought to be worth around £14m. Massive loss for the Black Cats - especially if he's being replaced by Bryan Oviedo...

#CPFC are delighted to announce the signing of @pvanaanholt on a four-and-a-half year deal for an undisclosed fee! #WelcomePatrick  pic.twitter.com/aw357Wtcoj

10:14 - DONE DEAL

For the first and, hopefully, not last time today...we have a signing. Bolton have taken Chris Long on loan from Burnley for the rest of the season.

Alright, it's not exactly Griezmann to United, but from small acorns...

10:07 - David Moyes Misses Everton, Apparently

Fantastic news for Everton fans. For Black Cats, maybe not so inspiring.

BREAKING NEWS: Sky sources: Everton's Darron Gibson and Bryan Oviedo are to have medicals at Sunderland ahead of permanent moves. #SSNHQ

10:02 - Wilson Going Nowhere

Eddie Howe's chatting through the whole transfer window'thing' in his press conference this morning. Asmir Begovic's name has come up, and been slapped down with the standard 'we don't comment on individual targets' disclaimer.

Talk of Callum Wilson being sold, on the other hand, was met with a much more emphatic response.

EH: "We might be losing one or two, possibly on loan. Callum Wilson's not for sale, he's a massive part of our plans and our future."

9:46 - Ivanovic to Russia?

It's looking more and more like it, as West Brom manager Tony Pulis rules out a move for the Chelsea veteran.

BREAKING: West Brom head coach Tony Pulis rules out move for Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic. #SSNHQ
