Turkish side Yeni Matalyaspor sign Ghanaian midfielder Afriyie Acquah

Turkish Supalig side Yeni Matalyaspor have completed the signing of Ghana international Afriyie Acquah in the on-going summer transfer window, Footballghana.com can confirm

Acquah signed a two-year deal with Matalyaspor with the option to extend for one year after passing his mandatory medical and completing the formalities.

The 27-year-old, who joined the Blood and Gold outfit as a free agent following the expiration of his contract with Empoli will be plying his trade outside Italy for the second in his career.

He first played in Germany for TSG Hoffenheim in 2013 where he endured an unsuccessful spell as he never played a competitive match.

He returned to Italy to join Parma on loan after six months to relaunch his career.

He has previously played for Sampdoria, Torino, and Empoli.

He was a part of the Black Stars squad that represented the country at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations which staged in Egypt.

Acquah has featured 36 times for the senior national team since making his debut in 2012
