U-23 Afcon qualifier: Twenty Ghana players leave for Gabon; Tetteh & Ahiabu dropped

Black Meteors of Ghana have left the shores of the country to Gabon for the second leg tie of the 2019 Africa U-23 Cup of Nations qualifiers.

A contingent comprising twenty players, technical team, management team and medical staff have travelled to Gabon ahead of their crucial match against their West African counterparts.

Ghana have a huge advantage heading into the return leg following their 4-0 win over the Gabon U-23 side at the Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday.

A brace from Osmanu Bukari and a goal from Kwabena Owusu and Bernard Tepketey helped Coach Ibrahim Tanko's side to record a heavy home victory.

According to reports, Sparta Prague striker Benjamin Tetteh and Prosper Ahiabu were not part of the squad that made the trip to Gabon on Sunday morning.

Gabon will welcome Ghana U-23 team to the 40,000 capacity stadium, Stade de l'Amitié in Libreville, Gabon in the second leg tie.
