Unhappy Nsoatreman FC coach Mumuni Abubakar insists referee Frederick Samena must re-learn refereeing

The head coach of Nsoatreman FC, Abubakar Mumuni has expressed disappointment with the officiating he witnessed in the game against Hearts of Oak.

The gaffer was left frustrated in the dugout on Sunday night as his team suffered a 2-1 defeat to the Phobians at the end of 90 minutes at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Speaking to the press in his post-match interview, Coach Mumuni Abubakar said the centre referee is not good enough at his job.

According to him, referee Frederick Samena who handled the game must go back to the classroom to relearn refereeing.

“I didn’t know in Ghana we have human VAR until today when the referee had to resort to a human VAR to rescind the penalty decision. To be honest, the referee would have to go and relearn the referee course,” coach Mumuni Abubakar argued.

Losing to Hearts of Oak on Sunday evening has seen Nsoatreman FC dropping to 15th on the Ghana Premier League table.

The team is just one place above the relegation zone and must return to winning ways as soon as possible.
