Uriah Asante was close to joining the MLS - Manager

Prolific  Sports Incorporated, the managers of departed Ghanaian player, Uriah Asante have disclosed that the player was close to joining a club in Switzerland before his untimely demise.

The 24-year-old  earlier this week suffered suffered a cardiac arrest and  was pronounced  dead at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra

Until his passing, Uriah had played for clubs including Pure Joy, Accra Hearts of Oak, Etoile du Sahel and EGS GAFSA but according to his handlers he was set to make his biggest move yet next month.

"We were really excited because we had already held discussions with major clubs in the MLS and Switzerland and one club was really excited about signing him," Kenny Andam, a Board Member of Prolific Sports said.

Mr Andam eulogised Asante describing him as ultra talented.

"We are very devastated by his passing and he will be dearly missed by Prolific Sports but we will carry on his vision to identify more talent in Ghana.

"I believe God knows best and he is in a place that is better than he

"We realised he had too much talent but had missed the opportunity to maximise them, that is why we jumped on board in 2015".
