The Ghana captain replaced Taiwo Awoniyi in the 80th minute mark of the game.

The match saw Brighton take the lead in the 38th minute through Buonanotte after Brennan Johnson had missed a penalty for the hosts in the 12th minute. However, Forest drew level just before the break after Pascal Gross scored an own goal.

In the second half, Taiwo Awoniyi assisted Danilo to give Forest the lead before Gibbs-White scored from the spot in the 90+1 minutes to wrap up the victory for the home side.

Ayew, who previously played for West Ham and Swansea City, has made 11 appearances for Nottingham Forest this season without scoring a goal or an assist.
