German football club VfL Bochum has expressed their interest in signing Moritz-Broni Kwarteng, the attacking midfielder of FC Magdeburg.
With an eye toward bolstering their squad for next season, VfL Bochum sees Kwarteng as a potential addition that could bring a fresh dimension to their attack.
VfL Bochum, according to Bild, would be most interested if the district club could stay in the league. Discussions have already taken place with Marc Lettau, VfL's technical director since January and the man in charge of squad planning.
However, Kwarteng is also been considered by VfB Stuttgart and Borussia Monchengladbach, as well as FC Basel and FC Zurich in Switzerland. Kwarteng's contract at Magdeburg is valid until 2024, therefore FC Magdeburg could expect at least a transfer fee.
The 25-year-old's market worth is presently assessed at 900,000 euros. Moritz-Broni Kwarteng has scored ten goals in 28 games so far this season.
FC Magdeburg is 11th on the Bundesliga 2 table with 38 points after 30 games.
