Ghanaian winger Latif Blessing provided an assist in LAFC's 2-2 draw against Portland Timbers in the MLS Is Back Tournament on Thursday night.
The 23-year-old lasted the entire duration of the game as he helped his side progress to the Round of 16 stage of the competition.
Jaroslaw Niezgoda opened the scoring for Portland in the 7th minute of the game but a powerful strike from Bradley Wright-Phillips from just outside the box saw LAFC get the equalizer after he was assisted by Blessing.
LAFC then took the lead through Mark-Anthony Kaye, heading home a perfect Brian Rodríguez corner in the 40th minute.
With 10 minutes of regulation time left to play, second-half substitute Jeremy Ebobisse scored with a beautiful header as he salvaged a point for Timbers.
The draw sends the California based club through to the Round of 16, where they face champions Seattle Sounders.
