Ghana attacker Patrick Agyemang emerged as the hero for Charlotte FC, stepping off the bench to secure a crucial win against Toronto FC in Major League Soccer action on Saturday night.

In a gripping showdown at the Bank of America Stadium, Charlotte FC secured their third victory of the season with a narrow 3-2 triumph over Toronto FC.

The opening goal came from Kerwin Vargas for Charlotte FC, who delivered a stunning strike in the 39th minute.

However, their lead was short-lived as Prince Osei Owusu, a German-born Ghanaian, swiftly equalized for Toronto FC just four minutes into the second half.

Charlotte FC didn’t falter, reclaiming the lead through Liel Abada, only for Osei Owusu to once again level the score with a well-executed tap-in from a pass by Jahkeele Marshall-Rutty in the 78th minute.

As the match hung in the balance, Patrick Agyemang, introduced shortly after Charlotte FC conceded their second goal, emerged as the game-changer.

Agyemang sealed the victory with a composed finish in the 85th minute, securing all three points for Charlotte FC.

Agyemang’s impact adds to his season’s tally, having now scored two goals in seven appearances for Charlotte FC in Major League Soccer.
