WAFA coach Rasmussen brushes off title contenders tag

WAFA coach Klavs Rasmussen is not getting carried away with talks that his side could win this season's Ghana Premier League title.

WAFA despite their match-day 14 defeat to Hearts are currently joint top of the GPL with Aduana Stars.

Their impressive display both home and away for many make them favourites for the league title.

But Rasmussen won't let that weigh them down.

“We are not in for winning the league, the main aim is to stay in the league. So we have to accumulate enough points to help us to do that, because the main aim of the club is to develop players to play abroad of which they are capable. So concerning winning the league I will ask you to take it easy because we are playing to stay in the league,” he said in a post match interview.

WAFA will play Inter Allies in match day 15 of the GPL on Sunday.
