Published on: 16 December 2023

The Black Queens, despite their outstanding performance in qualifying for the 2024 Women's Africa Cup of Nations, reportedly have not received the due bonuses for their achievements.

The news is circulating on social media, with this being a regular occurrence for the Black Queens.

After winning three out of four qualifying matches under the impressive leadership of head coach Nora Hauptle, the team is entitled to three winning bonuses. Hauptle guided the team to victory against Rwanda and Namibia, with a remarkable goal tally of 15 goals scored and two conceded.

The Queens dominated the qualifiers, securing a 7-0 and 5-0 victory over Rwanda in the first round, and a 3-1 win against Namibia in Accra, despite a 1-0 loss in the return encounter.

In 2023, the Black Queens enjoyed an exceptional year, winning ten out of 11 games and showcasing remarkable form. They scored a total of 34 goals in just 11 matches while conceding only 2.

The team will be making a return to the Women’s AFCON for the first time since 2018 when the tournament was held in Ghana.
