Ghana have been paired alongside bitterest rivals Nigeria in Group B for the upcoming 2018 WAFU U-20 Cup of Nations in Lomé this December.
The Black Satellites are also in the same group together with Benin and Niger.
Group A consists of hosts nation Togo, Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso and Senegal.
The eight-nation competition will commence from December 6 to December 16 in Togo.
Head coach Jimmy Cobblah will use the ten-day tournament to prepare his team for the 2019 CAF U-20 Cup of Nations to be staged in Niger from February 24 to March 10.
The top four teams will qualify as CAF’s representatives for the 2019 FIFA U-20 World Cup to be hosted in Poland in May.
The WAFU U-20 Championship is an association football tournament that is contested between West African nations. It was funded by The Economic Community Of West African States.
