Ghana took the lead in the 26th minute through Doris Boaduwaa. Captain Portia Boakye doubled the lead inside 37 minutes with a delightful strike from a corner kick. Boaduwaa made it 3-0 in the after the break. Namibia's consolation goal came via a defensive blunder from Ghana.

"We worked hard like I said earlier because it has been a while since we participated in a tournament. When there is a tournament and we are at home watching it is not pleasant at all we wish we were part of it," Portia Boakye said after the game.

"This year we are determined to qualify for the tournament we are doing all that we can with our management and coaches. The FA is also supporting us very well if it weren't for their efforts we wouldn't have gotten to were we are," she added.
