Head coach of the Black Stars, Otto Addo has indicated that his side is focused ahead of the Nigeria friendly match.

According to him, he is not thinking about players who could not make the squad but is ready to give opportunities to the new guys.

The Black Stars of Ghana will take on the Super Eagles of Nigeria today in an international friendly match in Morocco.

Speaking in his pre-match interview, Coach Otto Addo said it’s a pity some regular players are not available for the game.

“It is a pity; we would always want to go with our strongest squad especially when we are playing against Nigeria but for me I am looking for opportunities and it’s an opportunity for the new players to show themselves.

“So for that I am not thinking about who could be here and who could help us. Looking at the reality this is a squad with experience players and also with young players who are on their way up and who can show me what level and stage they can play,” Coach Otto Addo said.

The top players missing for Ghana include Mohammed Kudus, Thomas Partey, Majeed Ashimeru, as well as Joseph Paintsil.

Today’s match between Ghana and Nigeria will kick off at 16:00gmt.
