We are using friendly games to rebuild squad - Black Queens coach Mercy Tagoe

Black Queens coach Mercy Tagoe has stated that the technical team is using friendly games to rebuild the squad.

She made this statement after Black Queens was defeated 2-0 by Morocco on Tuesday evening.

Rosella Ayan Ani's brace in the 48th and 75th minutes handed the Lionesses a home victory against the Queens at the FAR Sportive Stadium.

Coach Mercy Tagoe argues that more of these friendly games would help the squad improve because they are currently rebuilding and preparing for international games.

“Training matches of this nature helps the team. We have played and seen what these girls can do and where the loopholes are. We are rebuilding and with this team if we play more international matches we will do better.”

The Black Queens will continue their training in order to smooth out the rough edges ahead of the African Games in 2023.
