We could not convert our chances against Tamale City - Abdul Gazale

Interim Asante Kotoko coach, Abdul Gazale says they failed to convert their chances against Tamale City.

The defending champions were held at the Baba Yara Stadium by the Ghana Premier League debutants on Sunday in the matchday 29 games.

Rocky Dwamena broke the deadlock for the Porcupine Warriors but Yahaya Mohammed scored for the Tamale-based side to end the game 1-1.

Following the results, Gazale lauded his side for their performance but admitted that they failed to convert their chances.

"The performance was better than the performance we put out against Great Olympics, we created a lot of chances but couldn’t convert them," he told StarTimes.

Asante Kotoko remains in the 6th position on the league standings with 43 points from 29 matches and are seven points behind leaders Aduana Stars, who have a game in hand.

The Porcupine Warriors will hope to return to winning ways when they host Bibiani Gold Stars in the matchday 30 games at the Baba Yara Stadium.
