Assistant Coach of the Black Stars Ibrahim Tanko has revealed that the technical team dropped the Ayew brothers, Andre and Jordan to try other players.

Head Coach Kwesi Appiah shocked the media when he released his 26 man squad for the penultimate World Cup qualifiers against Uganda without Deputy Captain Andre Ayew and his junior brother Jordan Ayew.

The duo were missing in the Black Stars game against Congo in Brazzaville after Andre Ayew suffered a knocked in the first leg in Kumasi but brother Jordan pulled out because of stomach complications.

The decision has left the public with the notion that the English Premier League Stars are gradually been expelled from the national team.

However, Coach Ibrahim Tanko has explained the decision behind leaving them out of the squad.

“The Ayew brothers were left behind for the Uganda Match because we want to try other players as we did to Wakaso and others but for Asamoah Gyan, we are still monitoring him and the final squad of 23 for the trip will be announced by tomorrow Friday and so let's wait "Ibrahim Tanko told Nhyira FM.

Serbia based striker Richmond Boakye Yiadom comes in for Jordan Ayew with Kingsley Sarfo looking the right replacement for Andre Ayew.

Ghana will be in Kampala to play Uganda on October 7th, and will face Saudi Arabia three days later in Jeddah.
