We have not pulled out of MTN FA Cup - Asante Kotoko PRO David Obeng Nyarko

Interim Asante Kotoko Public Relations Officer [PRO] David Obeng Nyarko has insisted that the club will honour their MTN FA Cup matches.

The Porcupine Warriors were taken to cleaners after reports emerged that the management have written to the Ghana FA to confirm that they are pulling out from the competition.

However, speaking in an interview, Obeng Nyarko insisted that the club are participating in the competition and dismissed reports of writing to the FA to pull out from the competition.

"We are participating in the MTN FA Cup," he told Kumasi based Pure FM.

"We have heard a lot of commentaries and none of those commentaries and reports are true.

"We [Asante Kotoko] have not written to the Ghana Football Association [GFA] declining from participating from the competition.

"We have a game against Bekwai Youth FC and we will honour that game," he added.

The Round of 64 of the 2020/21 MTN FA Cup kicks off on Sunday, May 30, 2021, across the country.
