We look forward to a better season – Bernard Mensah after joining Al-Riyadh

Ghana midfielder Bernard Mensah says he is looking forward to a better season with Al-Riyadh Sporting Club after joining the Saudi Pro League club following his departure from Al-Tai.

Al Riyadh confirmed the capture of the former Black Stars central midfielder on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, via their social media platforms.

he exact length of the contract has not been disclosed, but the 29-year-old is set to continue his career in the Saudi Pro League following his previous team’s relegation.

Speaking after his signing was announced, Mensah said, "A new challenge with Al-Riyadh Club and we look forward to a better season this year.”

He would be looking to build on the solid reputation he has also garnered in Saudi Arabia with Al-Tai last season.

During his time at Al Tai, Mensah made 30 appearances, scored an impressive 14 goals, and provided two assists in the 2023/24 Saudi Pro League season. His contributions placed him 11th on the league's top scorer list.
