We will be more than ready when Ghana Premier League resume - Hearts of Oak assistant coach David Ocloo

Published on: 19 October 2022

Assistant coach of Hearts of Oak, David Ocloo, has insisted his side will be fully ready when the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League season resume.

Hearts of Oak opened their season with a defeat against Aduana Stars before sharing spoils with Great Olympics and Asante Kotoko respectively.

The poor start of the season led to the sacking of Samuel Boadu with the former Liberty Professionals gaffer taking over the interim boss.

Ocloo led the Phobians to a 3-1 aggregate defeat against Real Bamako of Mali in the CAF Confederation Cup second round.

Speaking after the elimination, the former Asante Kotoko assistant coach believes his side will be ready and prepared when the injunction placed on the Premier League is settled.

“Management are supporting very well," he told Citi Sports.

"They supported with everything. It’s unfortunate we didn’t progress.

"They did a yo-man job. Hearts will be more than ready when the season starts," he added.

Hearts of Oak sit 13th on the league log with just two points.

The Phobians are scheduled to play Karela United at the Accra Sports Stadium when the Premier League resumes.
