Asante Kotoko Chief Executive Officer, Nana Yaw Amponsah has hinted that the new management team will work relentlessly to brand the players of the team who are the ‘cash cow’ of the club.
Ghanaian football clubs and players have been questioned with their branding style.
However, Nana Yaw Amponsah speaking on Opemsuo FM in an interview, the young football administrator revealed that his management team have the prerequisite skills to brand Kotoko players to be celebrities to attract more companies for endorsements.
“My Management is determined to brand Kotoko players to be celebrities just like movie stars and musicians, and this means that, where they live, where they eat and their outfits must be evolved,” he said.
“If a Kumawood actor is tagged as a celebrity, why can’t a Kotoko player be in the same tag. Our players must get an endorsement from big brands," he added.
Nana Yaw Amponsah last Tuesday unveiled eight competent members of Management in Kumasi to help him execute his task.
