Wenger to sign new Arsenal deal - and 2 France internationals

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is ready to pen his new contract - and sign two France internationals this summer.

The Sunday Mirror says in the clearest indication that Wenger will sign a new deal and stay at the Emirates, Wenger has been in personal contact with agents in France about future recruits.

Top of his wanted list are Alexandre Lacazette of Olympique Lyon and Benjamin Mendy of Monaco.

But Arsenal face a battle with the likes of Manchester City, Liverpool and Atletico Madrid for Lacazette.

Atletico coach Diego Simeone is a huge fan of Lacazette and has the finances to secure the France international forward.

Mendy, 22, has excelled in AS Monaco's run to the semi-finals of the Champions League – and will cost around £25 million.
