Leicester ready to let Jeffrey Schlupp leave for £5m

Leicester City are ready to let Ghanaian wing-back Jeffrey Schlupp leave during the January transfer window for a £5m fee.

The Sun reports that Schlupp remains on West Bromwich Albion's radar after they failed to land him during the summer, and it seems incredibly likely that his asking price will appeal to the Baggies enormously.

The Express and Star reported on Wednesday that Tony Pulis' men made four offers for the 23-year-old, but found that the Foxes were not willing to do business, even when the Albion put £12m on the table.

So while the Ghana international's stock has probably fallen slightly this season - he has made just three appearances in the Premier League - it has surely not fallen by as much as £7m, which may therefore tempt Pulis into making another move in the hope that he has more luck this time around.

Though Claudio Ranieri has not been keen on Schlupp this season, the youngster's versatility means that he would add depth in several places in West Brom's squad, which would surely make his arrival something of a bargain, if they are ultimately able to bring him to the Hawthorns for less than half of what they were willing to spend on him in the summer.
