West Ham Interested in Replacing Andy Carroll With Liverpool's Daniel Sturridge

West Ham are currentlyeyeing Liverpool star, Daniel Sturridge, as a potential replacementfor their striker Andy Carroll.


According to reports from theDaily Star,the Hammers will likely sell Carroll in the summer and it could leave them with the chance to sign Liverpool's Sturridge as a replacement.


Carroll has had a rollercoaster season in the Premier League so far, scoring goals as well asfighting a knee injuryhe picked up in late August.


The 28-year-old striker was targeted by three Chinese Super League clubs in the last transfer period,namelyTianjin Quanjian, Hebei China Fortune, and Shandong Luneng Taishan,and had a price tag of £32m.

West Ham's Croatianmanager Slaven Bilic would be keen to sign 27-year-old Sturridge, as the 48-year-old boss is looking to change the squad's playing style. Both of these England internationalshave suffered from long-term injuriesover the last year.


Even though Sturridgehas two years remaining on his Liverpool contract, The Irons would still be prepared to pay£25m for the striker. The Reds forward has endured aninjury-hitcareerat Anfield, meaning he might want a fresh start at a new club.

Crystal Palace has also been another club eying both these strikers who futures are undecided. However, it will be a busy and competitive transfer window in the summer for both Liverpool and West Ham who are looking to sign players to give them that extra edge for next season.
