West Ham ready to pay £12million for Majeed Waris

English Premier League side West Ham United are ready to much up the £12million asking price by Lorient for Ghana striker Abdul Majeed Waris.

The striker who has been a target by a trio of English clubs including WestHam, WestBrom and Burnley could be on his way to the London club.

Burnley had an £8million offer rejected by the French Ligue two side but could do away with the transfer after acquiring Chris Wood from Leeds United.

With less than 48 hours remaining for the transfer deadline Lorient are demanding for £12million before releasing their key asset.

According to skysports, West Ham are in talks to sign Abdul Majeed Waris from French club Lorient.

Sky believes the player is currently in London for talks with the Premier League club.

The 25 year old wants out of Lorient after the Club got demoted from the French top-flight.

Waris has also been attracting interesting after scoring 13 goals for Lorient in the French Ligue 1 last season.
