West Ham have stepped up their pursuit of Bayer Leverkusen forward Javier Hernandez, according to the Sun.
The Mexico international has emerged as the top target for the Hammers in the window, and the London-side are reportedly prepared to offer him £145,000-a-week wages.
The 29-year-old is believed to have a £13m release clause in his contract.
Following an impressive first season with Bayer with 22 goals, Chicharito could only manage a total of 12 in all competitions last season.
