Winger Joseph Paintsil reacts to 2022 World Cup draw

Joseph Paintsil, a Ghana national team international since 2017, says that the World Cup group H draw, which includes Portugal, South Korea, and Uruguay, is advantageous and ensures that the Black Stars of Ghana will give their all to advance.

"It's a very good draw. Each team has its strengths and it's determination that will decide who qualifies for the round of 16 of the competition. ".

Paintsil was one of the Ghanaians that spoke about the tournament. Former Ghana Football Association spokesman Ibrahim Daara believes the Black Stars have a shot of qualifying and, in particular, since Portugal is now weaker.

"With the right preparation and analysis, and praying that we don't have injuries, we can qualify for the knockout stage. (...) Portugal is no longer the giant it used to be. There are players who are aging. Ronaldo and Pepe already passed the best phase", says Daara.

Ghana's first match at the 2022 World Cup will be against Portugal on November 24, followed by a match against Uruguay and a match against South Korea in the final round of group H, which will be played in Qatar in December.
