Wolfsburg's Swiss International Left Back Fancies an Italian Job

VflWolfsburg's Swiss international left back Ricardo Rodriguez has insisted upon a move to Italian side Inter Milan in the Summer.

According toTuttosport and La Gazzetta Dello Sport, viaFootball Italia, the 24 year old is so adamant on a move to the San Siro that he's even rejected a few proposals from other huge European clubs including The Emirates' Arsenal, Parc des Princes' Paris Saint-Germain and the Orange Velodrome'sOlympique Marseille.

Rodriguez' current contract at the German club currently possesses a€22 million buy out clause. If a club is seriousin their bid for the robust defender, they'll have to come somewhere close, or will have to exceed such a loftyfigure.

Inter have reportedly lodged a first bid of€15 million for Rodriguez.

A strong figure for a man that's made 30 appearancesso far this season in all competitions, scoring 2 goals in the process.

However Wolfsburg are calling for theNerazzurri to honour the player's stated release clause, if they're going to be convinced to sell one of the Bundesliga'stop left back's.

Amongst other factors within the transfer link, it has been said that Rodriguez would even have to accept a pay cut to join the Milan club, seeing his wages drop from€4 million a year, to€2.5 million a year plus bonuses.

Rodriguez is still yet to agree personal terms with Inter, so all could invariablychange in respectto thetransfer fee and player salary, however it's looking like a plausible move already for the Swiss, who's looking to switch to a side with such renowned history and regard in world football.
