World Cup 2022: South Korea coach Paulo Bento happy with performance of players at tournament

National team head coach of South Korea, Paulo Bento says his side can be happy with the performance at the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

According to him, his coaching staff together with the squad in Qatar have done their best to represent the Asian country.

“The goal has been achieved. Both the players and the coach did their best. We worked hard for the football we love. As a result, an identity was created. I am satisfied that I have created a positive situation. You will be satisfied with any result. I think I can finish the journey like that,” Coach Paulo Bento said.

The gaffer will lead South Korea to take on Portugal today in hopes of winning to have any chance of advancing to the knockout stage of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

The match between South Korea and Portugal is scheduled to kick off at 15:00GMT later this afternoon.

South Korea must beat Portugal and hope the result from the other Group H match between Ghana and Uruguay favours them.

It is the only way they can progress to the Round 16 stage of the World Cup.
