Zenit coach Mancini wanted by West Ham

Zenit St Petersburg coach Roberto Mancini is wanted by West Ham.

The Mirror says Mancini is the man West Ham want if Slaven Bilic fails to halt the team's slump.

The 3-0 defeat against Brighton at the London Stadium on Friday left the Hammers hovering just above the relegation zone – and the fans enraged.

Tens of thousands left before the end and a handful, who stayed, tried to confront co-chairman David Sullivan.

Bilic now faces two London derbies – the League Cup tie at Tottenham on Wednesday and a crunch league game at fellow strugglers Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park next Saturday.

A defeat at Palace could see Bilic on his way, with an approach for Mancini likely to follow.
