The head coach for the Ghana national team, CK Akonnor has noted that he anticipates pressure will be on South Africa when the two sides meet on Thursday evening.
The Black Stars and the Bafana Bafana will be in action in Johannesburg tomorrow in a Group C encounter of the qualifiers to next year’s Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.
Set to play as the away team, Ghana coach CK Akonnor says pressure will be on South Africa when they play as the home side.
“It is a different ball game all together, the last time we played them was at home, this time it’s their home ground and the pressure is on them to deliver,” the Black Stars coach said in an interview with the media team of GFA on Wednesday.
Coach Akonnor continued, “Psychologically, they will have to win but we also have to mount a strategy to give us victory.”
Tomorrow’s clash has been scheduled to kick-off at 16:00GMT.
