WAFA aim to get their campaign off to a great start as they host Kumasi-based King Faisal in Sogakope on Sunday.
The Academy boys did well last season, placing 7th on the log with 22 points in 15 matches. King Faisal, however, was a different story. They were bottom of the log with just six points and zero wins to their name.
Ahead of the campaign, both sides made some transfer deals. King Faisal lost hitman Ibrahim Osman to Asante Kotoko and now have to find a new goalscorer this campaign.
In their previous fixture, WAFA travelled to Kumasi and earned a 1-1 draw. With the home advantage they have, they will be hoping to make it count with a win.
