2022/23 Ghana Premier League: Asante Kotoko name squad for Medeama clash without key players

Published on: 26 March 2023

Asante Kotoko's assistant coach, Orlando Wellington, has unveiled the 20-man squad set to play against Medeama SC in a match weeek 23 fixture of the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League.

The game is scheduled to take place at Kumasi's Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday at 6 pm.

After being sidelined due to injury for four months, winger Isaac Oppong makes a comeback to the squad for this vital encounter.

Augustine Agyapong, who was excluded from the Black Meteors team for the Algeria match, is also included in the squad.

Unfortunately, Justice Blay and Rocky Dwamena, who gave a brilliant performance in the previous match against Samartex, will not be available.

In addition, the team will have to face the challenge without their top-scorer, Steven Mukwala, who is presently on national duty with the Uganda.

The result of this fixture could significantly impact the league title race, with Kotoko striving to secure a top-four position through a win.
