2022/23 Premier League: Footballghana star player for matchday 2 – Kwasi Donsu

Medeama SC midfield enforcer, Kwasi Donsu has been selected as the Footballghana star player for Round Two of the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League season.

The new league season entered matchday two over the weekend with eight matches being played by 16 teams.

Due to Asante Kotoko’s involvement in the CAF Champions League, the game against Bechem United had to be postponed.

At the end of the action from Friday, September 16 to Monday, September 19, the Footballghana team assesses the performance of the many players that played for their various teams.

While several players put in a good shift for their teams, three players stood out on matchday two.

The star amongst them for the matchday is Medeama SC midfielder Kwasi Donsu. The experienced player featured for his team on Sunday in the game against Real Tamale United.

In a game that produced five goals, Kwasi Donsu is one of two players that hit a brace for their teams.

RTU forward Issah Kuka also netted a brace but it was not enough to save his team from the defeat.

On the matchday, Kwasi Donsu grabbed his first goal in the 41st minute to shoot Medeama SC into the lead.

Late in the 89th minute when the game was on the verge of ending in a draw, the experienced midfield enforcer produced quality when he scored his second to seal a delightful 3-2 win for Medeama SC.

His top performance which secured all three points for his team deservedly earns him the Footballghana Star Player for Round Two of the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League season.

Other standout players from the matchday include Aduana Stars poster boy Bright Adjei and Hearts of Oak midfielder Gladson Awako.
