2024 U17 WAFU Zone B: We will respect every opponent at the tournament – Black Starlets coach Laryea Kingston

The head coach of the Ghana U17 national team nicknamed Black Starlets, Laryea Kingston has indicated that his team will respect all opponents it will face at the upcoming 2024 U17 WAFU Zone B tournament.

The official draw for the tournament in Abidjan has pitted the Black Starlets in Group A to face their Ivory Coast and Benin counterparts.

Speaking to the Ghana FA media team, Laryea Kingston said his team will respect every tournament.

He assured that his team has worked hard in the last few weeks and is ready for the tournament.

"We respect every country that will be playing at the tournament. Each participant is a potential winner. So, we respect everyone. But we’re ready.

"The technical team and the players are all ready for the tournament. And we’ll take it a match at a time," Laryea Kingston said.

The 2024 U17 WAFU Zone B boys tournament will start in Ghana on May 15.
