90min Writers Predict the Final 2016/17 Premier League Table

Published on: 11 August 2016

It's here! It's here! The Premier League is finally here!

It really is football fan Christmas, and everyone at 90min has got...a little excited. So, we've got a handful of writers together and everyone's thrown together a completed Premier League table for the coming season.

Keep scrolling down for all the views - keep reading for a nice big collected table of the average predictions at the end!

What They Said

Chris: The return of the big five. It's not fun, it's not particularly interesting, but it just...is. With Spurs and Leicesterdistracted by the Champions League and West Ham being a bit average, it's hard to see past the big powers at the top.

At the bottom, it's tricky to see Hull City doing...well, anything, really. They genuinely look in a worse state than Aston Villa last season. Swansea could jump out of danger with one or two good buys, but they'll be there or thereabouts at the bottom come May.

Jamie:It has become difficult to look beyond Manchester United for the title. Jose Mourinho is more determined than ever to succeed and has strengthened his squad right the way through the core.

For all Manchester City's signings, they still look soft defensively and this is a challenge Pep Guardiola has never had before. Antonio Conte at Chelsea may well have a greater impact sooner.Everton should do well under Ronald Koeman. Middlesbrough will also punch high but there appears little hope for Hull or Burnley.

Scott:Both Manchester clubs look best equipped to challenge at the top, but United have done the best transfer business in the league and could just win it.Chelsea and Liverpool should benefit from a lack of European fixtures, at Arsenal's expense. It's Wenger's final year, for my money.

At the bottom, Hull and Burnley are a class below, and it's going to be one from a handful of teams joining them back in the Championship.

What They Said

Jonny:Manchester United are my tip for the Premier League, following the arrival of a number of huge names at Old Trafford. Mkitaryan, Ibrahimovic and now Pogba have all arrived, but none of the signingsare as important as the appointment of Jose Mourinho

At the other end of the table, Hull City are in absolute chaos ahead of the Premier League return. Managerless after Steve Bruce's departure and with fans rowing with the owners, it does not look like it'll be an easy year for the Tigers.

Lekan:Burnley could learn from their mistakes in2014/15 and just escape relegation - doomingWatford, who will have to rely on Ighalo and Deeney and will fail to replicate last season's success. Bournemouth were found out last season and could suffer but their place at the bottomcould easily be taken by Swansea.

At the top,Arsenal's transfer business will come back to haunt them - while Liverpool look stronger and could sneak fourth. United look strong and have a solid spine whereas City look a bit suspect. Chelsea could do it but,as a United fan, I have to hope thatMourinho's Premier League experiencewill pull them through.

What They Said

Caleb:The two Manchester clubs have really flexed their financial muscle this summer and with Jose Mourinho and Pep Guardiola at the helm, arguably the two best managers in world football, the Red Devils and their noisy neighbours are the clear title favourites.

Chelsea and Arsenal complete my top four, edging the likes of Tottenham, Liverpool and West Ham to the final Champions League spots. Elsewhere, in the bottom half of the table, I predict relegation misery for Bournemouth, Hull and Burnley.
