Asante Kotoko players demand unpaid four month salaries - Reports

Asante Kotoko players are demanding their four months' unpaid salaries, Kumasi-based Pure FM have reported.

According to the reports, the playing body demanded their unpaid wages ahead of their matchday 26 games against Berekum Chelsea over the weekend.

The Porcupine Warriors however suffered a 3-0 defeat against Chelsea at the Golden City Park.

It is imperative to note that some players are owed two months of unpaid wages. The playing body are also owed winning bonuses.

It remains unknown when the players will be paid their wages and winning bonuses.

Asante Kotoko who defending champions of the ongoing 2022/23 Ghana Premier League season have failed to live up to expectations.

The poor run of results led to the sacking of Seydou Zerbo who was appointed to replace Prosper Narteh Ogum who left the club on mutual grounds.

Kotoko currently sit 5th on the league log with 39 points.

The Reds will hope to return to winning ways when they host league leaders, Aduana Stars in the matchday 27 games at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday.
