Kevin-Prince Boateng maybe a pariah in certain Ghanaian football circles.
However, the fiery German-born Ghanaian is literally worshiped at his Spanish La Liga side Las Palmas.
At the Las Palmas' Gran Canaria Carnival celebrated on Saturday, a group of fans dressed as 'costaleros' (The people who carry the pasos proudly on their shoulders) and carried an image of Prince Boateng, in remembrance of the holy week.
There were fans who even disguised themselves as the ex-AC Milan midfielder.
