Burnley Defender Michael Keane Hoping to Stop Poor Away Form in Trip to Liverpool

Burnley defender Michael Keane is hoping his side can end their poor run of away form in the Premier League during their trip to Anfield on Sunday.

The Clarets have taken just two points from 13 away league matches and are currently in the middle of a four-game run away from Turf Moor. Speaking to theDaily Mail, Keane says his side are 'bored' of not securing points away from home.

"It's something we did talk about, we spoke about it a lot but now I feel like we've got bored of going over the same things over and over again," Keane said.

"We've got points on the board - no matter how they come we're in a good position so we go into every game the same way. It's just not been happening for us, it would have been good to nick a point at Swansea but we didn't deserve it if we're honest.

"It's a great place to go and play so we'll be up for it and everyone is really determined to get over this away form.

"We don't really talk about it too much any more but it's still in the back of our heads and we're desperate to put it right.

Burnley have taken points off Liverpool, Manchester United and Chelsea this season, and Keane says his side will not roll over for big teams.

"We're a team who are difficult to play against," he added.

"No matter who comes up against us it's not easy to roll us over and win 3-0 or 4-0.

"Teams can find it difficult to break us down the way we play and with our style of football so it doesn't come as a surprise to us when we get these results, it might to others, but in house we prepare meticulously for these games so it doesn't surprise us."
